2019 Hawaii Food & Wine Festival is Coming Up this FALL

When it comes to Maui events, there is a never-ending list of exciting gatherings to join throughout the year. Coming up this fall is the Annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival and it is one that you won’t want to miss!

While living on Maui comes with its fair share of benefits, including being close to what seems to be never-ending stretches of white sand beaches and access to the wonder and beauty of Maui’s luscious upcountry area, this island is really like heaven on Earth. It’s true what they say in Hawaii, Maui is nō ka ‘oi (the best), because on Maui there’s never a shortage of memories to be made and fun to be had. Whether exploring the outdoors is your idea of a good time or attending one of the island’s thrilling events throughout the year, you’re never far from excitement here.

And when it comes to events, there’s a never-ending list of exciting gatherings to join in on with your friends and loved ones throughout the year. One such event that’s coming up this fall is none other than one of our favorites, the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival. Every year the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival draws an eclectic crowd of foodies and wine experts who gather against one of Maui’s most scenic backdrops to celebrate wine, food and culinary excellence on the islands.

According to the festival’s website, the event brings together more than 150 internationally renowned master chefs, winemakers, and mixologists. Hawaii Food & Wine Festival (HFWF) is a part of the Hawaii Ag and Culinary Alliance, a local non-profit. The mission of the festival is to shine a light on Hawaii’s locally grown products and culinary talent worldwide.

Throughout the years the festival has grown from a three-day event with 30 chefs in Waikiki to more than 20 events with over 10,000 attendees and 120 chefs spanning across three islands. That’s right, THREE! But that’s not all. Proceeds also go towards a good cause. Since 2011, the festival has donated more than $2 million to community organizations that support sustainability, culinary programs, and agriculture. Last year, the gala raised a record $384,750 for 23 non-profit beneficiaries.

So not only will you be able to try some delicious food and wine at this event, but you’ll also rest at ease knowing your dollars are going towards helping the community. We hope to see you there from October 5 through the 27th. And in the meantime, if you have any questions about Hawaii luxury real estate, check out our real estate corner and contact us today. Have a great week and we’ll be in touch soon. Mahalo!
