Guided by an experienced expert in ancient Hawaiian studies, you will learn what a fishpond is and why it has played such an important role in Hawaii’s history; all while enjoying a unique view of South Maui and the slopes of Haleakala from a canoe which you help paddle! Perhaps best of all, proceeds from the Native Hawaiian Fishpond Experience goes back to the Ko`ie`ie Fishpond; a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that created to revitalize Native Hawaiian fishponds on Maui.
