Avid readers of our Kapalua Real Estate Blog may remember a recent edition where we mentioned the very special Palaka Award, along with a very special nomine; Sakamoto Properties very own Mitch Mitchell! For those needing a quick re-cap, the 2012 Palaka Award ceremony was held this past Friday, August 24, at the renowned King Kamehameha Golf Club. Organized to recognize the outstanding long-term volunteer service leadership to non-profit organizations throughout the County of Maui, just being nominated for such a prestigious award is truly an honor for all those involved.
To that end we are happy to report that Mitch, thanks to his tireless service to the community through his many years of work with the amazing Hale Makua Health Services organization, came very close to winning this years’ Palaka Award, but was beat out by another great community leader: Dr. George Martin. While we at Sakamoto Properties would have loved to have seen Mitch win this year’s award, we are pleased to also congratulate Dr. Martin on his win thanks to his support of the Carden Academy of Maui!
If you would like to get to know the Maui community which the Palaka Award nominees work so hard for, contact Mitch or any of our knowledgeable Luxury Kapalua Home Specialists at Sakamoto Properties directly or via Facebook, and get to know your future island home! Once again, we would like to congratulate both Mitch Mitchell and Dr. Martin for their prestigious recognition of their equally impressive contributions to our island community! Mahalo!
