Having operated a successful West Maui real estate brokerage for many years now, the crew at Sakamoto Properties takes pride in being a part of the tight knit community that is Maui. Throughout the years, we have helped owners from all walks of life find their dream home in Kapalua, Kaanapali, and beyond. and while helping someone find their perfect waterfront estate in Kapalua or condo in Kaanapali is immensely rewarding in its own right, for our crew, helping those within the community reach their other life goals is also an amazingly satisfying experience.
One such way in which we have found success in such ventures is through the Lahainaluna High School Foundation’s annual scholarship program. Started twelve years ago with the goal of helping those outstanding high school students ease their transition into outstanding college students, the LHS scholarship program has since grown by leaps and bounds; now offering up forty seven scholarships from various sources in the community, totaling an amazing $135,000 in funding! Of the many participants, Sakamoto Properties’ Roy and Betty Sakamoto have this year sponsored three exceptional students; Makenna Stockham, Leilani Miranda, and Lewiln Gitierrez with new and renewal scholarships.
