A non profit agency of tremendous importance to our island Ohana, or family, Hale Makua Health Services is made up of over 500 professionals who provide a variety of health care services to Maui’s growing population of elders. Providing these essential services for more than six decades, Hale Makua Health Services is without a doubt one of the most important community organizations on Maui. As such, we at Sakamoto Properties take every opportunity to assist Hale Makua in their community support and fund raising events, including their upcoming annual Ohana Luau on September 25th, as well as to honor their enormously committed, skilled, and talented staff whenever possible.
With that thought in mind, we would like to congratulate Hale Makua Health Services Chief Executive Officer Tony Krieg for receiving the 2011 Ho’okele Award this past August. Founded in 2002 by the Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation in association with the Hawaii Community Foundation, the Ho’okele Award is presented in recognition of those whom show an exceptional dedication to leadership in Hawaii’s non-profit sector. It is our honor to not only report on Tony’s fantastic achievement, but to also have had our very own Roy Sakamoto personally present this prestigious award to Mr. Krieg at the 2011 Ho’okele Awards Ceremony on Oahu. An honor for all of us here at Sakamoto Properties, we wish Tony continued success in his leadership role at the helm of Hale Makua Health Services.
