Everybody wants to be oceanfront, you’re right there, easy to go swimming, surfing, whatever you’re favorite water activities are but buying oceanfront properties you should look out for several things, one you’ll be within the tsunami zone and all likelihood, second you’ll be perhaps in some sort of a flood zone area, so you’ll be subject to that. If you’re looking at buying a vacant lot that is oceanfront, there are new setback regulations, rules and regulations that you need to follow so even though a neighboring property could be say 30 feet from the ocean you probably will not be able to build that close. Anyway, bottom line seek a professional there’s a lot of pitfalls, there’s a lot of good things about oceanfront.
