And this month we are happy to say that it is definitely an ideal time to buy in West Maui, as mortgage rates are still low and prices have not skyrocketed too much…yet. But now is definitely the time to act before prices increase with the demand.

According to the October real estate statistics from the Realtors Association on Maui, prices for homes in West Maui continue to increase and with mortgage rates still at an all-time low, it’s anticipated that more individuals will be ready to make a house purchase in the next coming year.

  • Kapalua condos are experiencing an increase in prices to $2,850,000 from $955,000 since October of last year. With only one sold house in Kapalua, it just shows how limited the inventory is.
  • Kaanapali condos for sale sold for around $1,890,000. Last year during October, the median sales price in the same area was only $540,000. That’s quite the increase if we do say so ourselves! Home sales prices increased in the Kaanapali neighborhood to $2,225,000 from $1,450,000 during the same time last year.
  • Condos in Lahaina saw an increase in median sales price, but not in units sold over last year. Lahaina residential also saw a jump in median price as well as houses sold.
